The Brickx Club North Coast

Due to the success of the summer scheme we are delighted to announce that The Brickx Club North Coast will be back again in September for a term time weekly club commencing on Saturday 16th September 2017 and running weekly to Saturday 14th October 2017 from 10am to 11am. The class is for children aged 5 to 11 and the cost for the five weeks is £20 per child.

10TH ANNUAL GARVAGH CRAFT FAIR

With Christmas on the horizon, a craft fair in Garvagh will present an opportunity to see and buy some unique gifts.
The Garvagh Craft Fair organised by Garvagh and District Development Association and now in its 10th year will build on the success of previous years having over 25 stalls exhibiting many eye catching and creative crafts.
Visitors to the fair will be spoilt for choice for delightful presents such as felt, beaded, glass and resin jewellery, scented and decorative candles, Christmas crafts, floral art, ceramics, willow crafts, glass, handmade cards, photography, wood crafts, jams and chutneys, and various others. The Brickx Club is a creative brick building and social activity club for girls and boys aged 5-12years. The theme of this Pottery workshop is ‘Summertime in Garvagh’
The focus will be geometric shapes – constructing the shapes using handbuilding techniques, slabwork, coiling and pinch – individually decorating the pieces with imprint and incision, symbolic to Garvagh ( eg the Clock Tower, Garvagh Forest, the Pyramid, Agivey River etc.). In addition we will create individual animal sculptures. Finally a visit from the Potters wheel for the final day!!

WORDS IN THE WOODS FESTIVAL

Family Festival in Garvagh Forest
Friday 4th and Saturday 5th August 2016

Delighted to announce Garvagh People’s Forest “Words in the Woods Festival”. During the Festival we will be running a ‘Drop In’ Space in Garvagh Community Building to hear more about the project, there will be artists, musicians and mime artists on the streets, and we will be holding our first Stone Soup Gathering (booking essential) culminating with our ‘Fairytales in the Forest’ event. Make Up Workshop with Martina Mullen

The “Make Up Workshop” is coming to the Garvagh Community Building, Main Street, Garvagh on Saturday 25th March – from 11am to 2pm (Cost £20).
This is a very relaxed morning/afternoon of Make Up Demonstrations from a natural look to a smoky eye make up – where you can experiment with your own make up products!! develop a network of mountain bike and walk trails within Garvagh Forest. In order to inform and
